Congratulations to all the Grade 3-5 students who participated in the MAP assessment. This has provided us with a helpful baseline data point. Please ensure that you use additional data alongside the MAP results to design future learning experiences that are accurate and based on more reliable combination of data.
As we are experiencing a small wave of influenza and COVID-19 infections in the building, it's important that both students and adults follow standard hygiene protocols. This includes frequent handwashing, using hand sanitizers when available, and covering noses and mouths with elbows when coughing or sneezing.
This week will be busy with our first SEEDS session, final preparations for BTSN, the BTSN event with rotations, and wrapping up the week with our second assembly of the year. Please note that there will be a small change to the schedule. To be more in line with the Secondary School and to ensure that parents make it to the second session, we have adjusted the timeline and allowed for grab-and-go snacks in place of a 20-minute mingling session. The new BTSN schedule can be found here. The school will provide an early dinner on campus on Thursday to ensure we are ready to meet the parents. Look out for a message from the office regarding your participation in the dinner.
What an exciting time to connect with families and share our approaches to teaching, learning, and school programs with them. After all this excitement, we land on a well-earned long weekend, followed by a four-day week.
