Dear colleagues,

As we step into the third week of school and the month of September, we want to celebrate the incredible work you’ve done so far. Your consistent attention to routines, logistical details, relationship-building, and reinforcing the CA Way is clearly paying off—the elementary students are thriving as we establish common expectations across the community.

A special shout-out to our parent volunteers for organizing the book room, and congratulations to all of you on completing the Listening Conferences! Your clear communication, collaboration, and teamwork made this possible. Extra thanks to Saiko, Yuki, Sarah, and Kasumi for stepping in to cover duties.

Weekly Update, Monday, 25 August, 2025

Dear colleagues,

Congratulations on completing the first week of school! Your care, energy, and commitment have set a strong foundation for our learners, and we’re grateful for the way you’ve welcomed students and families into the year.

As we move into the second week, you will learn about SEEDS time with Clover, and in our own session we’ll focus on annual individual and team goal-setting processes, as well as further thinking about WIN times in our schedule.

A few reminders:

• Please consider joining one of the following teams: report card review, writing data, or well-being and belonging. The deadline for participation is this Wednesday afternoon.
  
  

• If you have found a group of educators interested in leading the ES play/musical project, please let Heikki know.
  
  

• The listening conferences in Grades 1–5 will finish on Friday. Please remember to share with specialist teachers the valuable information parents provide.
  

On Tuesday afternoon, we will have our first Bite-Sized PD session in the second-floor commons, focusing on My IB resources available online. Erin will lead the session.

Please note that EpiPens for G1-12 students will be stored in the Secondary Arts office across from the cafeteria in the old dance room as of Monday or Tuesday. EpiPens for ELAC students will continue to be stored in the Health Office.
