Weekly Update, Monday, 15 December,, 2025

Dear colleagues,

This week, we reach the end of what has been a truly rich, demanding, and most importantly, successful semester.

Thank you for the incredible energy, compassion, and professionalism you have brought to your classrooms, teams,

and duties every single day.

Your dedication to finalizing report cards and ensuring a joyful,

calm environment during the festive season is deeply appreciated. It is because of your commitment that our students

and community continue to thrive. A few more grade-level parties are on this week, and then we are ready to take a

deep breath and enjoy the wonderful three weeks of friends, family, and me time.

This week, we wrap up the fall semester and the calendar year of 2025.

Following the Final assembly on Friday morning, we will have our Early Dismissal at 11:30 AM.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week, holiday, and all the best in the New Year 2026!

Warmly,

Katie, Erin, and Heikki

Weekly Update, Monday, 8 December, 2025

Dear colleagues,

Well done to Kae-san and Jan for organizing the very successful and first ever VEX Robotics Kansai Regional Scrimmage at CA. The past Saturday brought students from different schools together to celebrate the marvels of technology and robotics.

Thank you for handling the intruder drill so thoughtfully and calmly. The way you supported students by helping them understand the purpose without amplifying fear was exactly what they needed. Your mindful presence makes the most significant difference in moments like these.

A special shoutout to the Grade 4 and 5 teams for such a smooth and meaningful Overnight Trip. These experiences create lasting memories and deepen relationships for our students and for our grade 4 partner school in Ikuno. We all know how much was asked of you behind the scenes.

This week is festive and full of momentum as we host our Winter Arts Festival across four afternoons. Please help our performers, from PreK to High School, feel the full strength of our support as they share their learning through dance, art, and concert performances.

We also continue our strong partnership with parents this week with two essential workshops: Building Young Readers on Tuesday morning and Reading to Learn in Grades 3-5 on Thursday morning. These sessions help families understand and reinforce the powerful work happening every day in our classrooms, strengthening the home-school bridge that supports student growth.

Finally, Wednesday afternoon brings our next Lindsey’s Town Hall and dedicated time for SEEDS teams.

Please find the Party Tracker here and lean into the joyful anticipation of the season, and keep building a community where every student and every adult can thrive.

Warmly,
Katie, Erin, and Heikki
