Dear colleagues,
It feels great to return to a more focused and steady week of learning after the busy preparation for both the PYP Exhibition and the Student-Led Conferences. The growth these experiences provide for our students is an incredible testament to the dedication and professionalism that all faculty and staff bring to the classrooms, hallways, and playground every single day. It is important to take a moment to recognize your own accomplishments and sense of professional fulfillment, and show appreciation to the colleagues who have supported you along the way.
This week brings us into the month of May, where we balance the final push of learning, the wrap-up of the school year, and the important preparations for the next one. On Wednesday, we will review the final units in the POI to ensure strong vertical and horizontal articulation, and continued strengthening of transdisciplinary connections, alongside our ongoing reading review.
Also on Wednesday, we will engage with parents around the CA Way, emphasizing the importance of building a strong sense of community and belonging, and intentionally designing an environment that values student identities, diversity, and ways of living together.
On Thursday, the report card SEEDS group will spend the day designing the reporting tool for the next school year. We recognize that this has been a particularly busy time, and not everyone may have had the opportunity to provide feedback on the initial drafts. Please find the Padlet link here if you would still like to contribute to the report card design process.
On Friday, we are ready for a long four-day weekend to celebrate the Golden Week!
Enjoy the final week of April.
