Dear colleagues,
It is hard to believe that we are already in March. The hints of spring in the air and the successful completion of our 3-way conferences certainly remind us how quickly the year is moving. Thank you once again for the care, preparation, and professionalism you brought to those important conversations with families.
This week begins with our March briefing on Tuesday morning in the Library, followed by the Grade 5-to-6 transition session for parents led by the Middle School team.
On Wednesday, our focus will be on Reading, along with unit reflection and transdisciplinary planning, an important opportunity to pause, reflect, and refine our next steps.
Thursday continues our parent workshop series as we support families in understanding the purpose and current practice of WIN time. We will also be visiting classrooms for a Peek into Learning. There is no need to adjust schedules.
On Friday, a group of Grade 4 and 5 students will participate in a basketball tournament hosted by our neighbors at DSK. Thank you to Kris for leading this initiative and creating this opportunity for our students.
As Elliot has already shared, we are welcoming Harry Tredgold to Grade 4 at CA on Monday. Harry’s arrival has required thoughtful staffing adjustments, as he will need a dedicated one-to-one teacher to support his learning, design an individualized curriculum, and help him integrate into the CA learning environment. Jenelyn will be serving in this role, and we are also pleased to welcome MarĂa Basantes as a new TA in the PreK/KA team. We are very grateful to everyone for their flexibility, collaboration, and professionalism, which enabled Harry’s start. His brother Louis began in the KB a few weeks ago, and we are delighted to now have the entire Tredgold family as part of our community.
Wishing you a week of steady routines, meaningful learning, and a little less stress as we move into this new month together.
Katie, Erin, and Heikki
