Weekly Updates, Monday, 13 June 2022

Dear colleagues,

This is it! Congratulations to everyone for successfully completing the school year 21-22!

As much as it felt that the school year should have finished past Friday, we still have the two and half days to go. Parents have really appreciated the opportunity to organize end-of-year parties, celebrate grade 5 transition, and finally have a sense of a true community.

We are sure that everyone has noticed that most students are emotionally a bit on the edge and probably just tired of the school. So, we ask you to pay attention to keeping the routines in class and encourage you to do whatever you can to prevent student conflicts or emotional eruptions as it will help you to finish the school year smoothly.

The final assembly will conclude this week and we can leave as soon as your students have left the building after 11:30.

Enjoy the final few days with the students!

Riana, Trevor, and Heikki

Weekly Updates, Monday, 6 June, 2022

Dear colleagues,

This is the penultimate weekly blog post of this school year as we are heading toward the week of final class parties and transition celebrations. Last week was incredibly busy with report card writing, Tankyuu celebrations, field trips, and the ES futsal tournament. Thank you to Clover for making the sharing of Tankyuu such a successful and inspiring event. Also, a big thank you to Sim, coaches, volunteer students from Middle and High School, and all the players for the great soccer day on the Lily and Nestle fields.

We start our week with the final Extended Learning of the year and finish with grade 5 celebrations and a faculty end-of-year party. In the middle, we will enjoy our final Wednesday learning session with some opportunities to reflect and acknowledge the school year 2021-2022.

Enjoy the last full week of school!

Riana, Trevor, and Heikki
