Weekly Update, Monday, 30 February 2017
Dear colleagues,
We hope you had a relaxing weekend! This week we will meet on Tuesday as a faculty, hear all about the math workshop from Trevor & Co. on Wednesday. We are returning back to our normal schedules after the reporting season. The report cards will be open to parents on Friday afternoon/evening.
As shared in the assembly, we should all make sure that students are following the morning routines so that they all go to the playground to get some fresh air before the day starts. In case someone is struggling to create student goals here are few ideas.
Have a great week!

Dear colleagues,
Welcome to Semester 2 and congratulations for finishing or almost finishing the grading and comment writing for the Semester 1 report cards! As the reports will go out on the 3rd of February, it is time to get together and celebrate the turning point of the school year. Keep an eye on the blogger for information about school-wide TGIF as we are finalizing the date, time and venue within a couple of days. Also, on Saturday evening Feb 4, the PTA will host the annual Teacher Appreciation Dinner.
This week we will get together a couple of times as a whole faculty. First, on Wednesday we will all be planning our units in the Multipurpose Room together and utilize the collaboration and sharing of ideas. Secondly, on Friday we will have our first assembly of the year 2017.
The report card committee (Saiko, Karen T, Jen C, Ellen, Steve) will meet this week for the first time on Thursday afternoon. If anyone has got samples or ideas for reporting from other schools, please share those with the committee members.
Have a great week!

Weekly Update, Monday, 15 January 2017
Dear colleagues,
We hope you had the chance to enjoy the quick spell of winter this weekend. The successful Japan week, the first steps in building the STEAM-lab and the Shinnenkai party were some of the highlights of past week. This week we are back into normal schedules and routines more or less, if you exclude the report card writing that will keep us all busy for the next week or so. Let’s all be active and help our students to follow and remember the routines we have established for moving in the hallways as well as the social and behavioral expectations for the snack, lunch and playtime time.
Have a great week!
