Dear colleagues,

Welcome to the week of kindness! As the Elementary School Student Council leads by example, we are all invited to demonstrate and model acts of kindness this week. Not to say that we do not show kindness at all times, but this week, they are all on display, and we are celebrating the power of human connectedness and the true nature of humankind. 

Also, this week, we are inviting parents to join our science learning workshop on Tuesday, which includes peeks into learning. On Wednesday, we are looking ahead as we are thinking about the Elementary School Action Plan for the next couple of years, learning about PYP Exhibition mentoring, and planning collaboratively for the next Extended Learning. On Thursday, we will get together for the February assembly, and on Friday, we will launch the month of March with the grades 2 and 3 art exhibition and concert.

Weekly Updates, Wednesday 21 February, 2024

Dear colleagues,

We hope the long weekend provided everyone with an opportunity to relax and recharge. Once again, the three-way conferences were a success for students, parents, and teachers, reaffirming that the hard work we put in pays off.

This week is another short week of learning, featuring an accreditation meeting on Wednesday afternoon and day nine on Friday. The Friday afternoon for students will be spent in their homerooms, and single-subject teachers will have time to plan and prepare for upcoming learning. Although Friday is a national holiday, CA will remain open and operate as usual. Some families may have taken the entire week off to accommodate their travel plans.

Please note that the grade-level overviews of the future units should be sent out to parents on Friday. Also, as we have an assembly next Thursday, please remind the students to be ready with their performances and consider sharing any exciting learning experiences.
