Dear colleagues,
Welcome to the month of February, as the winter weather treats us as winter weather should.
Having a snow day in Kansai is not a very typical winter feature. However, last Wednesday provided us that experience as well as a nice opportunity to take a deep breath and rejuvenate.
Thank you again to grade 3 and 4 students, supporting faculty members, and of course, Tangala and Satsuki for the wonderful celebration of visual and performing arts last week. The art in the Atrium and the concert on Friday brought the community together to remind us of the importance of broad and holistic education for our diverse student population. Please, if you haven’t done so yet, take the opportunity to bring students to experience the art exhibition in the Atrium this week.
We start the week with Extending Learning, and as we look ahead toward the 3-way conferences, we will take some time to prepare for it this Wednesday. Otherwise, we are looking at a relatively normal week with, hopefully, no major disruptions to learning.
Stay warm, and enjoy the week!
Erin, Trevor, and Heikki
