Wednesday Afternoon Collaborative Planning




Dear colleagues,
Tomorrow, Wednesday, we will get together again in the Multipurpose Room to plan collaboratively. By being all in the same room we can benefit from ideas, close proximity, and support from our colleagues.

We will start the session by introducing UoI summative tasks. So in your grade level teams, please be prepared to put together a small poster (drawing, list, graphic organizer ) at the meeting and present your summative assessment task (2-3 minutes) to everybody in the room.

We will be working as follows:
The Japanese team will be working as one group planning for their current unit.
Aimee, Rose, Saiko, and Yoshiko will be planning for Student of Concern Meeting
Visual Art, PE, and Music will integrate with the units as suggested below.

Areas to work on:
  • Using the rubric of understanding to plan learning engagements
  • Creating a weekly planner or a unit overview to guide through the inquiry
  • Integrating with the units of study and math
  • Connecting with your specialists as noted below OR with creating new connections
