Weekly Update, Monday 5 November, 2018

Dear colleagues,
Thank you for your input to the new schedule writing process. All ideas and perspectives are very important at this
time as we are approaching the important decisions about the main structure of the whole school schedule.
We will continue to refine the schedule until the end of the school year to ensure that we can effectively manage
all the expectations regarding this rather significant change in the ways we organize ourselves. We will share the
feedback with everyone.
ES soccer teams did incredibly well in Korea. The grade 4 team finished 2nd in their 10 team group and the
grade 5 team finished 5th in their respective 15 team group. Well done to all players, supervisors and coaches
and particularly Jan who successfully and wisely lead the whole trip from beginning to end. This week we
will have a morning meeting on Tuesday and on Wednesday we will start focusing on our approaching report card
writing process by looking at data and standards by using a protocol. The week finishes with the wonderful
International Food and Fun Fair!
Let’s have a great week!
Kim, Trevor, and Heikki
