Dear colleagues,
Thank you to everyone who helped to organize the o-hanami afternoon last Wednesday. Great weather, good spirit, and beautiful sakura! We know how quickly the flowers will disappear in case of rain and wind, so the timing was perfect.
This week the curriculum review process continues and all subjects English, Mathematics, and Native Japanese language curriculum teams will continue their important work. Thank you in advance to everyone who is stepping in to sub and allowing the teams to meet for a chunk of time. Also, thank you to everyone for their flexibility as we had to find quick solutions in the mornings when we have people absent. Another thank you goes to Ava who has been not just a great addition to our classrooms and units of inquiry but also helping us to organize the book room. We are really lucky to have her around at the moment.
This Tuesday we will meet as faculty for our monthly morning briefing. On the agenda we have at least the following:
Staffing updates and creating teams for 21-22 updates
Covid-19 updates and reminders
April Assembly
Scheduling information
Report Card writing timeline
On Wednesday, we will focus on how to prepare and run the Student-Led Conferences online and collaborative planning of the 15th Extended Learning.
Let’s enjoy this somewhat cooler temperature but otherwise a wonderful week!
Riana, Trevor, and Heikki
