Dear colleagues,
This week is busy with MAPs testing, play rehearsals and performances, a parent coffee, and getting our heads around the report card writing that concludes the learning of this school year. On Tuesday morning, we will have a morning briefing, including information about upcoming dates, class list creation process, assembly, end-of-year checklist, and confirming next year’s teams.
Grade 12 students will continue taking the final IB exams this week and from Tuesday onwards, the Secondary School will be having their Week Without Walls. Please, be mindful of the exams if students need to pass the main theatre on the Atrium.
As the end-of-the-school-year is approaching with only 5 and half weeks to go, it is important to help the students to stay focused, respectful, and mindful of the routines of learning. Emphasizing self-control, the importance of positive relationships, and designing meaningful and appropriately challenging learning experiences will be crucial to ensure a smooth few weeks ahead. As you know the emotions are currently flying high amongst students and parents, so our capacity of maintaining a structured positive learning environment will definitely pay off in terms of our stress levels and time.
Let’s have a wonderful week!
Riana, Trevor, and Heikki
