Goal reflection and goal setting section in the report cards:
Students may or may not remember their goals from the 3-way conferences. Therefore, the reflection can either be a general reflection of the first semester or an actual reflection of the goal set in the conference.
What does it mean to avoid using yourself (the teacher) as the reference or criteria for success?
Avoid sentences like I am very pleased with the progress, It has been pleasing..., I am very happy with the work/progress/learning etc.
Listening conferences for new families
Classroom teachers are asked to arrange a brief listening conference with the new families joining CA to learn more about the student and their family. Also, please provide access to any material or links shared with the new families at the beginning of the school year. Finally, please share the notes from the listening conferences with all the specialist teachers who may teach or be in the same class with the new students including EAL and Learning Support teachers.
