Dear colleagues,
Welcome back to the last leg of the school year 2016-2017! The next 11 weeks will be exciting and busy with facilitating student learning as well as getting ready for the school year 2017-2018. Like always, after a break, we have all gained energy to continue to keep our amazing students engaged, focused, and working hard towards their goals. At the same time, we are looking ahead. Putting orders together, preparing for classroom moves, saying goodbye to our leaving colleagues, and welcoming new will keep our minds busy.
This week we will hit the ground running as we start the week by receiving no less than 12 new students in the Elementary School only! Let’s make sure that the new students feel welcome and have a smooth transition to our learning communities. On Tuesday morning we have our monthly ES faculty briefing at 7:50. On Wednesday afternoon, we get together as a whole school faculty to celebrate the beautiful Sakura time on the Green Belt. On Thursday morning, we will have another parent coffee about learning mathematics. Also, please confirm with Heikki, by Wednesday morning, any student performances or information sharing for the Friday Assembly in the Black Box Theater. We have booked practice time for both Wednesday and Thursday at 12:25-13:00. Finally, we will finish the week with Ron Ritchhart on Saturday and Sunday. What a week!
