Dear colleagues,
The autumn colours are here! We trust you have enjoyed the sunny weekend with all those beautiful colors everywhere. Thank you to everyone for your flexibility with regards the CIS/WASC preparatory visit past week. The feedback from the visitors particularly highlighted the excellent quality and consistency of classroom practice and student learning at CA.
This week we will get together on Tuesday morning as ES faculty to go through few procedural and informational matters. On Wednesday, we will have the Student Services Dpt. giving an update to the services we provide to our students in school year 2017-18. The second hour is focusing on the new format of the report card, how to write effective new report cards, and finding out about the timeline.
Finally, one of the annual CA community highlight takes place on Saturday: The International Food and Fun Fair. A wonderful opportunity to enjoy foods from all over the world, enjoy the musical performances, and celebrating the diversity of our community.

Thank-you to everyone for working so diligently to implement the Fountas and Pinnell reading assessments (running records). A special big thank-you to Karen Terry and Saiko for supporting teachers and troubleshooting issues. We hope to begin analyzing the data soon and wish to have the levels and spelling stages in the system by Friday.
