Dear Elementary School colleagues,
We trust you have had a restful and enjoyable spring break. Sakura is beautiful and hopefully, the weather stays
warm and sunny for the most days from now on. This week we are meeting on Tuesday morning to go through
some logistically pertinent matters to the time of the year.
Please, join me welcoming Renee Rehfeldt to CA this week. Renee will become part of the CA leadership team
in August as the Director of Learning. This week’s visit helping her to get ready for the transition to the position.

On Wednesday, we will all spend the PD afternoon time and beyond on the green belt celebrating o-hanami.
As per Japanese tradition, o-hanami is a potluck picnic event where we all bring food to be shared under the
beautiful cherry trees. The Leadership Team will set up the place and provide drinks.
