Dear colleagues,
The lovely sunny and brisk weekend reminds us that we are in the middle of the winter here in Japan.
However, this week seems to bring quite a change. Some rain and iPhone weather app suggesting up to 18 degrees celsius, on the plus side with rainfall. Let’s hope it comes down as snowflakes at the ski resorts as the following holiday weekend is often taking CA families and faculty to the slopes.
It was great to see so many enjoying the TGIF on Friday. Thank you to Jon and his crew for organizing and setting it up as well as cleaning the BBT on the weekend.
Highlights of this week include Parent Coffee on Positive Discipline led by Ellen, Yoshiko, and Katie, a 3-way conference workshop, and continuing working on assessment practices by the RandD team, all on Wednesday.
On Thursday, we have a busy extended learning session in the afternoon. Friday will launch us to the well-deserved mid-winter break as a form of an extended weekend.
