Weekly Update, Monday 10 October, 2016

Dear colleagues,
Welcome to the Sports Day and busy two weeks of report card writing, student-of-concern meetings and conference preparation! I trust the personal and professional learning time on Friday was welcomed by everyone. Thank you to Aimee and Doug for running the always important PRIM session. Cognitive Coaching was intense, thought-provoking, and exciting learning experience. You may notice some of your colleagues pausing and paraphrasing as they collaborate and communicate with colleagues and students.
The next two weeks are quite fragmented in terms of learning and contact time with students, and therefore, it is recommended that we pay a lot of attention to planning student transitions, careful choices for behavior supporting strategies and staying in hope cycle when under time constraints and stress. Please, check the blog for detailed information about Student of Concern meetings on Wednesday!
Enjoy the sunny and cooler days of October!
