Sunday, March 5, 2017

Dear colleagues,
The weather has clearly started to turn slowly but surely towards warmer temperatures. Some say too soon, and others say not fast enough. However, we are in March already and heading towards spring and summer. The past week we had a great turnout of parents at the Exhibition Parent Coffee that was run by Trevor and the Black and White Gala gathered over 200 CA parents, teachers, alumni, and supporters together to celebrate the school community and its impact on Kobe and Kansai area. This week’s highlight will be the long awaited Elementary School Play on Friday and Saturday. The numerous hours of work and organization from Toyoko and Kevin will be coming together as yet another delightful show. I hope many of you will have a chance to see the show. Finally, please note that we had posted wrong dates for the Cognitive Coaching and PD/Work days. We are not coming to work on Sunday (19th) as the post suggested, but after a normal weekend, on Monday we will have a PD/work day and Tuesday will be a normal school day and a PD day for those attending the Cognitive Coaching training. Let’s keep the children safe and engaged with their learning through another busy week!
