Here is the logistical overview for the Orientation day for New Families, taking place tomorrow:
9:30 tables will be set with grade level signs and we will have name tags for the students as they arrive (Yoshiko and Remi)
9:55 All Specialists and classroom teachers gather to the Atrium
10:00 We provide name tags to students and group them according to their grades ready to go to the classroom.
10:05 Both, parents and students are walked to their grade level designated classroom

10:10 - 10:15 Brief introduction of teachers, specialists, and LSAs who happen to be in the classroom at that point.

10:20 Parents are asked to follow one of the specialists who will take the parents to ELAC MPR. (Not all the parents/students are comfortable with this so we can accommodate for that)
STUDENTS
10:15- 10:35 In classroom:
Introductions
Checking out other classrooms if gathered in one classroom
First-day protocols (shoes, bags, what to bring, how to get to the classroom, etc.
Playing a game or playing with toys (younger students) to break the ice if time
10:40 Gr 1 - 5 to the playground with intro and allowing the students to explore for a while (if weather is ok)
PreK/KA, KB can follow their protocol as best suits to the kids
