The falcon cup creates some changes to the recesses. Additionally, we are not sure if we can have the tournament outside or inside given the weather forecast for today. So here are all the options for today:
In case of dry weather:
ES soccer fields are out of use during playtime.
Students can come and watch the games or play in the playscape (climbing areas, sand, and basketball field) as well as the grass area in front of the cafeteria and the tennis court.
In case of rain:The tournament will take place in the both gyms.
The Atrium is reserved as the service and a waiting area for those teams, coaches and their parents who are not playing at that time.
During the lunch recess, we should have the 4th and 5th graders in the library. Grade 1 - 3 students would have their indoor recess in class.
Supervision:
Librarians in the library
Maiko and Kaho in the ground floor for 1st and 2nd graders
Celia in the 1st floor for grade 3
In the case of the rainy day, please provide collaborative games, books, or any other activities for students to do during the recess.
Booster Club
Please note that the Booster Club will be selling snacks and drinks during the tournament. Those are meant for the 200 participating soccer players, their coaches and parents. Towards the end of the day, and after lunch, CA students may be able to buy what is left in the booster booths if they have brought money with them. It is important that our ES students consume their snacks and lunch as normal and don't replace them with snacks from the Booster Club.
