Dear colleagues,
We hope you have been able to get some rest after the rather taxing week with the typhoon, back to school night,
and listening conferences. It takes a lot of energy to get through such an extraordinary and out-of-routines week.

This week grades 3 - 5 will be collecting some learning data from MAPs testing. As we are still focusing on
assessment in the ES this year, we are going to learn how to triangulate and analyze learning data collectively to
guide our practice and consequently enhance student learning.

As we missed the Tuesday meeting last week, we are going to get together this Tuesday morning at 7:50 in the
ELAC MPR. See the provisional agenda below and think of some shoutouts you might want to share with your
colleagues.

Finally, on Wednesday Heikki and the Student Support team will run a coffee morning for ES parents about the
ways we personalize learning in the elementary school for all learners. We will be sharing about the Emotional
and Social learning program which includes counseling and class meetings in all ES classrooms as well as
practices and structures we have for language, cognitive processing, and behavioral support.
