Dear colleagues,
Welcome to the week of kindness and conferences as well as to the month of March by the end of the week!
Thank you for everyone who contributed to the assembly last week. Congratulations to grade 5 team for successful
Exhibition Coffee Morning on Thursday! Both KB and Grade 3 enriched and consolidated their learning in the
respective units of inquiry with the wonderful field trips.

This week, Elementary School Student Council is organizing plenty of opportunities for everyone to further
develop and practice the skills for kindness and caring of others in our learning community. We are expecting
daily reminders, heartwarming moments, and new wonderful and positive discoveries about ourselves and others.
As a faculty, let’s not hesitate to model kindness amongst us adults even if we may find ourselves under pressure
when preparing for the conferences and piloting the draft schedule. On Wednesday, the pink t-shirt day, the
whole school is being reminded about the destructive impact on individuals of bullying and the enormous
power of collective action and stance against bullying. Wear something pink if you can.

Conferences will shape the end of the week, and we will have enthusiastic parents and students sharing learning
in the Elementary School. We wish you all the best of luck and plenty of happy moments with parents and the
students. Conference Workshop Slides (including schedules for your reference).
We start this week with day 6 of the pilot schedule and continue to experiment some different times and days
until the end of the cycle on Thursday. Thank you all for your perseverance, anecdotal and recorded observations,
critical analysis, and most importantly open-mindedness towards the pilot as it provides us crucial data for designing the next draft and making the best possible decisions for the school year 2019-2020.
We had a wonderful turnout and a positive meeting with parents last week about re-designing time for learning.
