Dear Colleagues,
The summer temperatures are here, and we can definitely start to feel the approaching summer holiday, even if we have one more month to go. Excitement and emotions are bubbling up, and we can just stay calm, keep smiling, hold the reins, and try to finish the learning tasks. Grades 6-11 will be on their week without walls, and grade 12 will be getting through their final exams. Well done, grades 3-5, for completing the MAPs testing last week. Please, use this one data point to give you further information for the report card writing in literacy and math and as you plan student learning for the last month of school.
This week on Wednesday, we will be sharing the class list proposals with the new grade-level teams based on our knowledge of group dynamics, learner variability, and cultural and linguistic diversities. Every teacher has a lot of expertise and insightful information about our students. Please, make sure that the teams sharing the initial proposals have all the necessary information at hand.

On Thursday, we will support the KB parents with their (and their children’s) transition from ELAC to the main building as we invite them to come and learn how we support the children and how they can support their children at home.
We finish the week with the May assembly. Yet another opportunity to celebrate the talents, learning, and the Elementary School community.
Heikki will be returning at the end of the week and back on campus in person on Monday, 22 May. He will be available on Zoom every day. In order to meet Heikki, contact Remi to find a slot in his calendar.
Let’s have a wonderful week and enjoy the quiet campus and, hopefully, sunny days!
Erin, Trevor, and Heikki
