Dear Colleagues,
The second week of May brings us the second candidate for the headship position at CA. Dylan Hughes will be visiting CA and meeting various people, following a similar schedule of meetings as Lindsey. We trust the long golden weekend came at the right time to prepare us all for the final stretch of five and a half weeks.
MAPs standardized testing takes place this week in grades 3-5. Let’s hope the students are ready to give their best effort so that students and teachers can have another data point as we observe growth this school year. The evidence that we collected for the conferences and the data we collect during the last few weeks will help us to construct accurate and meaningful report cards, which we allocate time to this Wednesday.
On the other fronts, the R&D team will continue to work on our literacy program analysis and enhancement, and we will all engage in Toddle training on Wednesday. At the whole school level, the science curriculum review is on and led by Clover.
Finally, as the IB DP exams are in the ELAC gym, the PE classes are planned to take place outside. Let’s hope for sunny days.
