Dear colleagues,
Once again, the International Food and Fun Fair has brought our community together to celebrate belonging and diversity. The beautiful sunny day and the wonderful people made the event both successful and warm-hearted. Thank you to everyone who contributed to and participated in our two most important annual community events: Ohanami and the IFFF.
We also had a wonderful shadow puppet visit that connected and truly inspired the second-grade light and shadow unit and their preparation for the summative task. Thank you to Saiko for organizing this annual visit to the Elementary School.
A big thank you also goes to the KB, Grade 1 and Grade 2 teams for making the Literacy Learning Workshop more accessible and easier for the parents, who were excited to see it all in practice.
Congratulations to Rose, Priyanka, Clayton, Jan, and Nobu-san for the wonderful Pirate extravaganza! The students were amazing, as always, and their commitment and dedication to the art of drama were evident and enjoyable.
This Wednesday afternoon, we will dedicate team time to preparing, collating, and organizing evidence for the student-led conferences and the PYP exhibition. On Thursday, the parents of students in Grades 3 - 5 will come in for a Literacy Peek into Learning, and on Friday, we will finish the week with the April assembly.
We have two more months left in this school year. We are seeing the results of the continued and persistent hard work of all teachers and students. The student-led conferences and the PYP exhibition will help us identify our students' wonderful achievements and assist us in making the final instructional refinements before successfully concluding the school year 2023-2024.
Enjoy the beautiful spring weather and make the most of this week!
