Dear colleagues,
We hope you took the time to relax and get your energy sources reloaded during the weekend. This week we will have Track Rats and after-school clubs starting and let’s hope everything goes well and we can manage the students participating safely in those great activities.
On Wednesday, we will have our second Extended Learning of which provides a short time to explore something more in-depth. This Wednesday afternoon we will seek some feedback from faculty in terms of approaches and content related to Wednesday Collaborative Learning sessions.
The ES Leadership Team will be working in the morning of this Wednesday focusing on the Wednesday Learning Schedule to mark in the whole school sessions, Tankyuus, and pencil in the EL and Unit of Learning planning sessions. We will bring the draft schedule to the meeting for faculty to provide suggestions before making final decisions.
The greatest number of the sessions will be focusing on Extended Learning and planning of units of learning. However, we would like to collect ideas and suggestions regarding PD topics, approaches, and differentiation from everyone so that our Wednesdays are best and effectively used for professional learning and collaborative planning.
We will also spend time reflecting on the listening conferences and BTSN, as well as exploring the use of the blog in the SeeSaw for sharing curricular focus periodically with our parent community. The teachers in grades 3 - 5 will also have an opportunity to catch up upon MAPs testing logistics at the end.
The end of the week is followed by a 3-day weekend.
Let's have a great week!
Riana, Trevor, and Heikki
