Dear Colleagues,
Welcome to February and Happy Spirit Week!
Congratulations once again to Satsuki, Tangala, Grades 3-5 students, and all the supporting students and colleagues for the wonderful art show and concert on Friday!
As you have all learned from Jon’s messages, we are affected by the covid spread mainly in the daycares. As difficult as it is to know where we are in the midst of it all, we have learned that it may be best to wait until you have symptoms before taking the antigen test, unless advised otherwise by the Health Office.
This week starts with Jen, Trevor, and Noriko being away due to Covid Protocol. We have been able to secure subs for most of the days and internal cover. However, we will keep you updated as the week reveals itself.
On Tuesday, the first of February, we will have a faculty briefing starting at 7:50. This will be mainly about covid updates and also information about the upcoming Teachers to Teachers session to mention a few.
Please, note that we will not serve beverages in our Tuesday morning meeting due to the covid situation.
We will first plan Extended Learning on Wednesday and then connect with our Tankyuu groups to engage with personal professional growth. We will serve beverages on Wednesday but will follow the previously used protocol to minimize the time with colleagues when not wearing a mask.
The spirit week will hopefully help us to keep our minds focused on positive things despite the covid concerns.
Let’s have a successful week!
Riana, Trevor, and Heikki
