Dear Colleagues,
Happy New Year and welcome back!
It is exciting to return to the world of learning after the hopefully relaxing three weeks. We start our week by engaging with professional learning and then welcome our wonderful students back to school.
As you have read in Jon’s message, we are a bit anxious about the impact the new variant will have on our daily life. We have to be prepared to tackle situations with the same incredible professional adaptability we have successfully demonstrated earlier during this pandemic. The goal is to keep everyone safe and the school open as much as possible.
Before the students come, we will meet at 7:50 briefly on Tuesday morning to update everyone about Covid and to look ahead to important dates and events in this semester.
Heikki will be joining us on Zoom still as he just arrived in Japan and is getting through his 3-day quarantine period (as well as typing this message) in a hotel somewhere in Osaka.
On Wednesday, we will take time to reflect and follow up on the Monday learning and to continue with planning the next unit of learning in teams.
We will finish the week by Extending Learning with the students on Day 9.
